This new-build garden presented a blank canvas with which to meet our client’s needs: a garden designed for entertaining.
One of the main challenges on this project was the sloping ground. However, we used this to our advantage to create two levels – an upper-level patio and a lower-level lawn, with wide steps linking the two areas.
The structural blockwork retaining wall was clad with Marshalls Stoneface Drystack Veneer Walling to provide an eye-catching feature wall.
The highlight of this project was the custom-built outdoor kitchen, constructed to house a BBQ, fridge, pizza oven and plenty of outdoor storage.
Cladding was again the material of choice for the kitchen storage units, with a stunning quartzite worktop and bar.
A western red cedar pergola was constructed to house the kitchen area. This was to provide shade from the sun without blocking out too much light.
Bespoke porcelain planking was carefully cut on-site to form edging to frame the lawn and provide coping stones for the cladded raised beds – where low-maintenance planting was used to soften the borders and provide interest.
