The brief in this transformation was to create a larger, more useable main patio area with a smaller paved space towards the end of the garden.
With the existing patio consisting of split levels, our proposal was to create a more usable space by putting the new patio onto one single level.
Our client opted for beautiful light-coloured porcelain that provides sleek, clean lines and gives the patio a contemporary feel.
A porcelain-clad low wall on the outer patio perimeter creates a defined edge, retains the lawn and provides additional seating. A dark grey colour was chosen to provide a contrast from the patio paving.
Exterior lighting inset into the walling provides ambience during summer evenings.
Towards the end of the garden, a more secluded patio links back to the house via a long garden pathway. Marshalls Original Cobble edges the pathway and provides a convenient mowing strip.
